Hero’s Encore (herosencore.org), in partnership with the Military Veteran Services Center at Bellevue University, hosted its Stage 1 Celebration on Saturday, September 27, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Holland Performing Arts Center’s Scott Hall in Omaha.
The event recognized participants who completed Stage 1 of Hero’s Encore’s music-based mentorship program, which supports Veterans,first responders, and transitioning service members. The program is designed to restore identity, confidence, and purpose through music and community connection.
Guests enjoyed live performances, met recent graduates, and heard personal stories about how music helped participants reconnect with themselves, their families, and their communities.
“Stage 1 was a moment where our participants stepped forward with renewed purpose and a stronger sense of identity,” said Taylor Ullom, Air Force Veteran and Executive Director of Hero’s Encore.
Founded in 2025, Hero’s Encore focuses on providing local, inclusive support through creative expression. The organization thanked Omaha Performing Arts and the Holland Center for their continued support, providing rehearsal and performance space to amplify the impact of local nonprofits.
