Hero’s Encore (herosencore.org), a Nebraska-based nonprofit serving veterans, first responders, and transitioning service members, will host its Hearts & Harmony Gala on Feb. 14 at the Holland Performing Arts Center in Omaha.
The event will mark the graduation of the organization’s first full Peer to-Performer cohort and celebrate leadership, creativity, and community recognition.
Founded by Air Force Veteran Taylor Ullom, Hero’s Encore provides a structured nine-month program that guides participants through guitar instruction, songwriting, and live performance. The program is designed to support identity reconstruction, confidence building, and meaningful connection following military or public service. During the gala, program participants will perform original music developed throughout the cohort, share their personal stories, and be recognized by community partners, sponsors, and supporters. The evening will include a VIP reception, live performances, and opportunities to learn more about the program’s impact and future growth.
Hero’s Encore operates at no cost to participants and is supported through grants, sponsorships, and community partnerships. Proceeds from the gala will directly support program delivery and expansion in 2026, as the organization prepares to serve additional participants while maintaining its intentional, evidence-aligned model.
