Heartland Hope Mission Seeks Support for South O Program During the Holidays
This holiday season, Heartland Hope Mission (HeartlandHopeMission.org) will be helping over 1,200 children with toys, food, and more through their Christmas in South O program. There are many ways for the community to get involved and give back. There are multiple shifts during December 12–19 they are seeking volunteers to sort and distribute toys for Heartland Hope Mission’s Christmas event. They are also asking for store-bought Christmas cookie donations throughout this time period as well. Email Amanda@HeartlandHopeMission.org to sign up or receive more details.
If volunteering doesn’t fit in your schedule, they are also asking for monetary donations. Only $124 will help a family of four for a month at Heartland Hope Mission this holiday season. Another opportunity to give back would be to host a Giving Tree Toy Drive. Heartland Hope Mission provides the ornaments, marketing materials, and will pick up the gifts once the drive is complete. Donations can be made on the website and they ask that you email Renae@HeartlandHopeMission.org for more information on the Toy Drive.
Heartland Hope Mission serves working poor families and those who may be facing a crisis situation with a week’s supply of food, clothing, diapers, job resources, and community referrals. Parents or legal guardians who need help with Christmas gifts for their children can register in the month of November at either of the Heartland Hope Mission pantries. For pantry hours and to learn more about volunteering, visit HeartlandHopeMission.org or call (402) 733-1904.
