Heartland Hope Mission (HeartlandHopeMission.org) is calling out to the community for their support to help feed kids in Omaha this summer. These are unprecedented times. Families with kids are struggling from the effects from inflation, causing pantry numbers to soar up nearly 60% higher than normal. With the increased demand in services, Heartland’s pantry is running low or completely wiped out of some staple pantry items, like peanut butter and cereal.
You can help keep the shelves stocked, especially this summer while kids are out of school and not receiving their normal free or reduced lunches. Your help is vital!
Donate today by scanning the QR code to help with the rising costs of food to keep kids from going hungry this summer. You can also help by donating in-kind donations, hosting a drive or signing up to volunteer at HeartlandHopeMission.org.
Heartland Hope Mission is a faith-based organization that is more than a pantry and dedicated to helping families achieve self-sufficiency. They provide food along with clothing, diapers, job resources and community referrals to support families in need and empower them to make positive changes in their lives. They also offer case-management, senior pantry deliveries, rural outreach, crisis response, a job paths program and a holiday program that provides around 4,000 children with new toys at Christmas! In addition to Omaha, outreach pantries serve Valley, Macy and Walthill. Visit HeartlandHopeMission.org to learn more.
