Heartland Hope Mission Expands Services to Underserved Areas in State of Nebraska
Heartland Hope Mission (HeartlandHopeMission.org) has expanded services to reach people in underserved areas in the state of Nebraska. In recent months, they have hosted mobile food pantries in the towns of Macy, Walthill, and Santee. Along with the mobile food pantry, they deliver hygiene products and baby diapers. The expansion arose because these towns are “food deserts,” whose residents do not have nearby access to a grocery store and where some families are living in extreme poverty.
You can help, too! Partner with Heartland Hope Mission to ensure that the families living in underserved towns have access to fresh produce, meat, milk, and other necessary living essentials for their families. A donation of $31 to HeartlandHopeMission.org will help provide one person with enough food and hygiene products for an entire month.
Heartland Hope Mission operates one of the largest food pantries in the state but is More Than a Pantry as they help families work toward self-sufficiency. The Mission primarily serves working poor families and those who may be facing a crisis situation, by providing them with a week’s supply of food, as well as clothing, diapers, job resources, and community referrals.
