Heartland Hope Mission Announces Volunteer Opportunities for 2019

Heartland Hope Mission (HeartlandHopeMission.org) is excited to kick off another year of serving poor, working families in the Omaha area. To reach this goal, the mission is seeking volunteers who will donate their time at one of the mission’s pantries. Volunteer time slots at each pantry location are as follows:

South Omaha Pantry (2021 U St.)—Tuesdays, 6–9 p.m.; Thursdays, 1–5 p.m.; Saturdays 9 a.m.–1 p.m.; Fridays 10 a.m.–noon and 1–3 p.m. (warehouse).

Millard Pantry (5321 S. 139th Plz.)—Second Saturday of the month, 9:30 a.m.–1 p.m.; last Wednesday of the month, 1–4 p.m.

Ages 12 and up are welcome to volunteer, however volunteers ages 12–15 must be accompanied by a parent or group leader. Thirty and forty volunteers are needed during each pantry time listed above.

As a volunteer at Heartland Hope Mission, you will help working poor families choose food, clothing, and hygiene items. Join the Mission’s community of over 7,000 passionate people making a difference, and bring hope to people in desperate situations.

If you are interested in volunteering or joining a committee, contact the Heartland Hope Mission’s volunteer coordinator at (402) 733-1904 Ext. 16. For more information about the non-profit organization, visit HeartlandHopeMission.org.
