Heartland Hope Mission Aims to Deliver Thanksgiving Goods to 6,000 Families
Heartland Hope Mission (heartlandhopemission.org) is requesting donations to help them donate Thanksgiving pantries and goods to 6,000 struggling people in Omaha during November. Donations of $25 or more will be used to provide a local family in need with a frozen turkey or ham, plus all the sides and desserts needed to prepare a Thanksgiving meal at home. Donations are accepted online at heartlandhopemission.org. Or, if you’d like to donate your time, sign up to volunteer.
Heartland Hope Mission operates one of the largest food pantries in the state, but they are more than a pantry, as they help struggling families work toward self-sufficiency. They primarily serve working poor families and those who may be facing a crisis in their lives by providing them with a week’s supply of food, clothing, diapers, job resources, and community referrals.
