Heartland Family Service to Host Comedy Night, Participates in GIVE65
Heartland Family Service (heartlandfamilyservice.org) will be hosting their annual “Stand Up For Kids!” Comedy Night, benefitting the Jefferson House. The event will take place Friday, August 16 at the Fremont Golf Club. Jokes will start rolling at 6 p.m. Individual tickets are $60 and a table for eight is $800.
This year’s Comedy Night theme is “Going Above & Beyond,” and features dinner, silent and live auctions, and comedic entertainment. Business casual attire is suggested. All proceeds will help the Jefferson House continue to put smiles on the faces of vulnerable children and teens. The Jefferson House is a service provided by Heartland Family Service that acts as a residential shelter and group home for children who have been removed from their homes due to alleged neglect or abuse. Group home services benefit youth ages 12 to 18.
In addition, Heartland Family Service will participate in GIVE65 for the first time this year. GIVE65 is an online (Give65.org/hfsgenerationscenter) giving event to support senior citizens across the United States. The donation period runs from July 9 to 11. Heartland Family Service’s goal is $10,000, all of which will benefit their Generations Community Center.
