Heartland Family Service to Host 15th Annual Strike a Chord Gala

Heartland Family Service (HeartlandFamilyService.org) welcomes you to join Jay Ferris and Vicki Quaites-Ferris for the 15th Annual Strike a Chord Gala on Friday, June 14, from 6 to 9 p.m. Presenting sponsors for the event are Heartland Properties and Veridian Credit Union.

The Strike a Chord Gala features the Salute to Leadership and the Salute to Achievement Awards, as well as games, live entertainment, a raffle, and silent and live auctions. All proceeds benefit Heartland Family Service programs in southwest Iowa, including the K-12 therapeutic school for students with major mental health diagnoses; support services and housing for single mothers; professional mental health counseling for children and their parents; and community prevention, education, and treatment for those struggling with substance abuse and problem gambling.

Founded in 1875, Heartland Family Service currently serves over 52,000 individuals of all ages each year from over 15 locations in east central Nebraska and southwest Iowa. Their 50+ programs provide critical human services to the individuals and families who ultimately shape the future of the community in the following focus areas: child and family well-being, counseling and prevention, housing, safety, and financial stability.
