Heartland Family Service Presents Annual Adopt-a-Family Project
Heartland Family Service holds the Adopt-a-Family program each year to benefit clients in Douglas and Pottawattamie counties. Community donors/businesses are requested to participate each year to adopt a family or families of their choice. The deadline to adopt a family was October 31, but Heartland Family Service is accepting monetary donations until November 26.
To make a monetary donation, visit HeartlandFamilyService.org/Support and select “Other – type in program name” under the “Please use my gift” field. Type in “Adopt a Family NE” or “Adopt a Family IA.”
Drop offs are scheduled on December 3 and December 4. Clients will pick up their gifts on December 6 and December 7.
The mission of Heartland Family Service is to strengthen individuals and families in our community through education, counseling, and support services. Founded in 1875, Heartland Family Service currently serves over 52,000 individuals of all ages each year from more than 15 locations in east central Nebraska and southwest Iowa. Their 50 programs provide critical human services to the individuals and families who ultimately shape the future of our community in the following focus areas: child and family well-being, counseling and prevention, and housing, safety, and financial stability.
