The weekend begins with the LOVAM Kickoff Linen Party on Friday, Sept. 4, at 7 p.m. at the Holland Performing Arts Center. This elegant, ticketed event features legendary contemporary jazz group Pieces of a Dream, who’s nearly five decades of timeless music have made them one of the genre’s most celebrated acts. Guests are invited to enjoy an elevated evening of sophistication, luxury and unforgettable entertainment while dressed in their finest linen attire.
The celebration continues on Saturday, Sept. 5, with the FREE LOVAM Jazz Festival at Turner Park at Midtown Crossing. Produced by HALLINS Corporation, the festival features chart-topping saxophonists Eric Dariusand Vincent Ingala, delivering an exciting day of world-class jazz for music lovers of all ages.
Recognized as one of the Midwest’s premier jazz events, the LOVAM Jazz Festival offers something for the entire family, including live performances, a vibrant Vendor Village showcasing small owned businesses, delicious food, community exhibitors, and activities that celebrate the richness of Omaha’s culture.
