Goodwill Omaha Opens Three New Donation Centers

Goodwill Omaha (goodwillomaha.org) is excited to announce the opening of three new Donation Centers in the Omaha, Papillion, and Elkhorn areas. These locations are designed as a convenience to the community by accepting lightly-used household goods. Donated items are then sold in Goodwill retail stores, in turn providing support to Goodwill mission programs. Drive up, drop off, drive away—it’s that easy!

The three new locations are at S. 50th St. and Grover St. (near Godfather’s Pizza), 96th and Q St. (near Palm Beach Tan), and 204th Ave. and Nicholas Cir. (near Don Carmelo’s Pizza). Hours of operation at each location are 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., seven days a week. All Donation Centers have Goodwill staff on-site to assist with donation drop-offs, receipts, and questions. Goodwill mission program information is also available at each site.

Goodwill Industries, Inc., Serving Eastern Nebraska and Southwest Iowa, has been a leader in helping people fulfill their dreams through work since 1933. They train and employ people with disabilities and others who may be at a competitive disadvantage in the job market. Many people know Goodwill as a place to donate used clothing or household items, but did you know that Goodwill is also a place where thousands of formerly unemployed individuals have been given the opportunity to earn a living and the chance to succeed in life? Goodwill offers a variety of employment programs and job opportunities for individuals with barriers to self-sufficiency.
