Fremont Contract Carriers and Nestle Purina Team Up for Flood Relief Donation
At the beginning of April, Nestle Purina (purina.com) donated around 43,000 lbs of Purina pet food and litter to the Fur-Ever Home Rescue Pet Food & Supply Bank (fetchingfureverhomes.org) in Fremont. Fremont Contract Carriers (FCC; www.fcc-inc.com) then offered to deliver the four-and-a-half-ton donation from Nestle Purina’s facility in Crete to Fur-Ever Home free of charge. In addition, FCC has helped store and deliver things like boxed and canned food, cleaning supplies, bottled water, etc. for the communities of Hooper and Winslow, just north of Fremont.
Fur-Ever Home, Inc., is a local non-profit organization, providing low-cost spay/neuter, vaccination, and micro-chipping programs, as well as training to local Dodge County residents. For owners displaced by the flood in need of placement for their dogs, please call (402) 269-0298. More information can be found at fetchingfureverhomes.org.
