FAMILY (www.familyia.org) wants to thank volunteers from United Way of the Midlands Day of Caring event! These volunteers worked tirelessly to pack monthly mailings for Medicaid families and bags for the upcoming Community Baby Shower.
Volunteers are an essential part of FAMILY’s vision; a resilient community built on strong partnerships and trust with equitable opportunities to thrive. Volunteers boost power, lighten the load and exponentially increase impact. Best of all, they do it because they believe in the cause and want to help. FAMILY has many ongoing opportunities throughout November and December as a part of the UWM Holiday Helpers program. Another opportunity to get involved is Giving Tuesday on Tuesday, November 28. Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement that encourages people to give back to their communities by donating time, money or resources.
