FAMILY, Inc (www.familyia.org). is getting a new home! Officials from multiple agencies met at the Donor Circle on the Charles E. Lakin Human Services Campus on August 18 to dedicate a new building under construction on the campus. The campus is on a bus line, which will allow for easier access to their services and will allow for collaboration with the other organizations on the campus to better support the community.
The steel framework for the 49,000-square-foot Iowa West Foundation Collaboration Center is rising on the east side of the Campus. The $14.1 million center will be home to Family Inc., Iowa Legal Aid and Together, Inc. This state-of-the-art facility is on the Charles E. Lakin Campus and will open next year!
“This is a dream come true,” said Kimberly Kolakowski, Executive Director of Family Inc. “Family Inc. has never had its forever home.”
