Explore City Sprouts Garden With Little Sprouts This Summer
The garden is a great place for learning, especially for curious little ones! City Sprouts’ Little Sprouts Summer Garden Program (www.omahasprouts.org/little-sprouts) for kids between the ages of 3 and 7 years old exposes them to the magic of nature, growing and eating organic food, and healthy lifestyles. The program runs 10 – 11:30 a.m. each Saturday morning from June 2 – August 4, and is offered free of charge!
Parents and guardians are encouraged to join their children in exploring the garden. For kids under 5, it is required that a parent or guardian is in attendance. While learning is maximized if all programs are attended, you’re welcome to participate as often as you are able.
To learn more about the program, join in the fun at the City Sprouts Spring Fling from 10 a.m. – noon on Saturday, May 26 or email the Education Coordinator at learn@omahasprouts.org. Interested families should plan to attend at 10 a.m. on June 2, the first day of the program!
Little Sprouts participants have the opportunity to learn from different experts about gardening, pollinators, cooking, composting, farm animals, seed saving, and more throughout the course of the program. More information about Little Sprouts is available at www.omahasprouts.org/little-sprouts.
