The Eastern Nebraska Office on Aging (ENOA, enoa.org) is in need of individuals to help deliver a nutritious meal to older individuals in the community. Drivers deliver meals Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. ENOA is searching for both volunteer and paid positions.
As one of the nation’s 622 Area Agencies on Aging created by Congress under the Older Americans Act, the Eastern Nebraska Office on Aging serves individuals and families in Douglas, Sarpy, Dodge, Cass, and Washington counties. ENOA’s role is to ensure that older adults, caregivers, adults with disabilities and those with the greatest economic need have access to a continuum of services that help them to remain active, live independently with dignity, and to remain for as long as possible in their own home.
The Eastern Nebraska Office on Aging serves as a gateway to aging services that already exist in the community and operates its own programs such as nutrition programs, care management services, volunteer opportunities, and community services that fill previously unmet needs in the five-county area. The caring, professional support ENOA provides to the oldest members of the family can also help relieve the burden of caregiving on younger family members. For more information, visit www.enoa.org or call (402) 444-6536. You can also follow ENOA on Facebook (@enoaaging) and LinkedIn.
