Omaha’s AUTO-biography, the brand new Douglas County Historical Society exhibit at Heartland of America Park displayed from May 2012 through April 2014, beautifully illustrates the story of the horseless carriage and its evolution from oddity to ordinary in our great city of Omaha. Featured in the exhibit are Omaha’s early auto inventors, local family-owned dealerships and automotive businesses, as well as the culture surrounding the evolution of the automobile.
The Mission of the Douglas County Historical Society is to collect, preserve and present to the public the history of Douglas County, Nebraska.
