Donate Unwanted and Unused Electronics to Cross Electronic Recycling this Spring

As families prepare for this season of spring cleaning, Cross Electronic Recycling (crossrecycling.com) encourages individuals to think before they toss electronics into discard piles.

The world is facing a growing e-waste problem, with the amount of improperly recycled electronics increasing each year. According to the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Forum, there were approximately 63.3 million tons of electronic waste discarded worldwide – outweighing the Great Wall of China.

Cross Electronic Recycling collects unused or unwanted electronics from businesses and individuals through drop-off and pick-up services and collection events. Items are then sorted to determine which should be properly dismantled and which can be refurbished to be resold. The company guarantees secure destruction of electronics to prevent toxic substances from harming the environment and protect sensitive company or personal data. To host a collection event or schedule a pick-up service in preparation for spring cleaning, contact Dan Lang, recycling operations supervisor, at danlang@crosstc.com or (402) 590-2100 Ext. 007.

Cross Electronic Recycling is owned and operated by the Cross Training Center, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower and equip undereducated and unemployed adults through character development, vocational training, and work experience.
