Cross Training Center Expands Volunteer Opportunities with Flexible Hours

Cross Training Center (www.crosstc.com), a local nonprofit dedicated to equipping disadvantaged and under-educated adults with the training and experience they need to obtain employment, has expanded its volunteer opportunities. Those who are interested in getting behind the Center’s mission can choose to donate their time and talents to the following efforts: social media, fundraising, church ambassadors, video production and photography, lunch for students, grounds or building maintenance, teaching/training, outreach, student services, gift-in-kind drives, electronic collection events, prayer room management, fireworks tent, other administrative duties, and more. Cross Training Center offers a lot of flexibility when it comes to hours and length of commitment within these volunteer opportunities. Volunteers are welcome to come alone or bring a group.

There are many benefits to volunteering, such as emotional, social, and professional perks. Volunteering is a great way to gain a new perspective, not only for choosing a degree or figuring out a career path, but in your personal life as well. It can shed some light on possible hidden passions! Gaining experience in a field you want to excel in can develop a range of skills you may not acquire if you’re struggling and feeling stuck. Plus, helping others through volunteering is an excellent way to increase your confidence in the workplace and in everyday life.
