Corn Belt Collegiate Baseball League Seeks Community Support for Golf Fundraiser
The Corn Belt Summer Collegiate Baseball League (www.CornBeltLeague.com) and MVP4Life will host their annual golf fundraiser on May 30 with a 2 p.m. shotgun start at Dodge Riverside Golf Club in Council Bluffs, IA.
“If you have ever played ball or have a son or daughter playing, we hope your love of the game gets you involved in our golf fundraiser,” said Teri Cissell, and Director for MVP4Life, the league’s nonprofit program that facilitates mentorships between players and youth. “This charity event will give you the chance to play alongside others who have a great love of the game while helping a college player play ball in Omaha this summer.”
Another way to support the Corn Belt Summer Collegiate Baseball League is by becoming a host family. Hosting a player is such a rewarding experience for you and your family. Just think—you could be hosting a future MLB player!
College players from all over the country come to develop their game here in Omaha through the CBL. The talent level of these players bring so much excitement to the community. With the league’s expansion plans for the 2020 season and beyond, fundraising efforts are more important than ever.
The Corn Belt Summer Collegiate Baseball League is asking businesses and community leaders to share in their vision of becoming the top developmental baseball summer league, furthering the positive impact it has on the Omaha community. The organization is currently looking for golfers, hole sponsors, along with silent auction items to help with this event.
