Community Foundation for Western Iowa (givewesterniowa.org/share-iowa) is proud to announce that western Iowa came out in full force on Giving Tuesday – December 3, 2024 – to support nonprofits and their important work throughout nine Iowa counties.
For a second consecutive year, the Community Foundation for Western Iowa and SHARE Iowa nonprofits collectively raised more than $1.5 million in donations during the Global Day of Giving. The average donation size for Giving Tuesday 712 increased on the SHARE Iowa platform, up 10.2% to $96.31 compared to last year’s $87.36 average.
Additionally, through generous support of individuals and businesses in our region, the Community Foundation for Western Iowa awarded 24 $1,000 hourly prizes to SHARE Iowa nonprofits, and the sponsors and prize winners were recognized during a special Giving Tuesday celebration at Full Fledged Brewing Company on December 3, 2024.
SHARE Iowa, an initiative of the Community Foundation for Western Iowa, inspires a culture of giving in western Iowa. With 276 registered nonprofit organizations, SHARE Iowa connects Iowans to nonprofits through charitable donations, in-kind gifts, and volunteerism.
