A unique collaboration between the Pottawattamie County Supervisors, the Pottawattamie County Tourism Board, the Council Bluffs Convention and Visitors Bureau, Iowa Western Community College and CB17, will be filling gaps in a video library. There is currently a need for images suitable for marketing purposes for Council Bluffs and Pottawattamie County events and attractions.
The Iowa West Foundation awarded a grant of $63,500 to the Pottawattamie County Supervisors to assist with funding a Video Library Creation and Marketing Campaign. The grant is approved as part of a $230,000 marketing campaign. The Pottawattamie County Tourism Board determined a vast number of events and places in Pottawattamie County and Council Bluffs have no suitable visual elements for marketing. The project goal is to generate positive economic impact for the area through the creation of a video library and the use of compelling video images and video elements on websites, Facebook, You Tube, and other area media including CB17.
