As the holiday season approaches, Child Saving Institute (CSI) (childsaving.org) is proud to announce its year-end Substitute Santa campaign, aimed at raising $350,000 to provide hope and happiness for underserved children in the Omaha-metro community.
For more than 130 years, CSI’s Substitute Santas have been a beacon of support for vulnerable children facing heartache, uncertainty and fear during the holiday season. Through the generosity of compassionate individuals and community partners, CSI aims to raise much-needed funds to continue to provide essential resources and services to children and families who have faced significant challenges.
“The true magic of the season comes from the kindness and warmth of our community,” said Jaymes Sime, President and CEO of Child Saving Institute. “Our Substitute Santa campaign is a testament to the power of collective giving; ensuring local children and youth can experience healing and brighter days while knowing they are not alone during the holidays.”
CSI encourages the community to take part in its Substitute Santa campaign and make spirits bright through the end of the year, and especially on Giving Tuesday, December 3, due to a matching sponsor for Child Saving Institute on that one day of online giving. CSI extends their gratitude to CharterWest Bank for their continued matching gift on Giving Tuesday and to Scheels for being a corporate sponsor of the campaign. Whether individuals donate to the cause on Giving Tuesday or anytime between now and the end of this year, they are directly changing the lives of Omaha’s children who need it most, wrapping them in the love and hope they deserve.
