Child Saving Institute (CSI) (childsaving.org) celebrated a significant milestone on Thursday, October 3 during their topping off ceremony for its new $46 million facility. The event marked nearly one year since the groundbreaking of this transformative project.

A topping off ceremony is a longstanding tradition in construction, celebrating the placement of the final steel beam atop a structure. This ceremony, hosted by project partners MCL Construction, TACKarchitects and Project Advocates, highlighted the progress made towards enhancing CSI’s leadership in mental health services, early childhood education and youth support services.

Jaymes Sime, President & CEO of CSI, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, “This new facility represents a beacon of hope and a commitment to the future of our community’s children. We are excited to continue our mission of championing what’s best for each child and family.”

Bob Carlisle, Founder & Chairman of MCL Construction, added, “We are honored to once again partner with Child Saving Institute on this important project. Our collaboration in 2007 laid the foundation for a lasting relationship, and we are proud to support CSI’s mission to serve Omaha’s children and families.”

The project is expected to be completed in November 2025 and will continue CSI’s storied legacy of helping Omaha’s children and families. As one of the oldest local nonprofits with a mission solely focused on children and families, they are proud to carry forward this rich tradition and continue to step into the community needs. CSI has secured $44,835,912 of their $46,000,000 fundraising goal and is still engaging donors to help close out the campaign.
