Chabad of Nebraska (ochabad.com) spent May creating meaningful opportunities for connection across Omaha through a series of community-centered events.

The month included a range of gatherings that brought people together in different ways, from a kosher tailgate of a Creighton vs. DePaul softball game to seasonal celebrations rooted in tradition and community. Events were open to the broader community, creating approachable ways for individuals and families to engage and connect.

At the Creighton event, attendees gathered ahead of the game to connect over kosher snacks, support Jewish student-athletes on both teams and enjoy a shared game-day experience.
Additional highlights included a Lag BaOmer celebration featuring outdoor festivities, music and food, as well as the Shavuot Garden Party, which brought guests together for services, a Ten Commandments reading and a festive luncheon in a welcoming setting.

Across each event, the focus remained on creating space for people to come together—whether through conversation, shared traditions or simple moments of connection.

Through a consistent calendar of experiences, Chabad of Nebraska continues to strengthen community ties and create opportunities for people across Omaha to gather, engage and build relationships.
