In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, Completely KIDS is proud to highlight the impact of its innovative Brick by Brick LEGO®-based curriculum, designed to support students’ social emotional growth through creativity, collaboration, and guided reflection.
Completely KIDS has a dedicated team of four full-time mental health practitioners who provide individual and group sessions to youth and families
enrolled in its programs. In 2025 alone, the organization served nearly 1,400 individuals. That number continues to grow as the need for accessible mental health support increases.
Since January, students in the “Character is Cool” group have explored kindness through collaborative LEGO builds, combining individual creations into a shared Kindness City. In February, elementary students focused on self-expression, using LEGO activities to explore identity, emotions, and personal strengths while fostering empathy among peers.
By March, students expanded these skills by identifying coping strategies and working through real-life challenges. Through guided discussions and hands-on building, participants developed and shared solutions to common school situations, including navigating social dynamics during lunch and recess.
The Brick by Brick mental health group continues to strengthen communication, emotional regulation, and problem-solving skills. By pairing therapeutic practices with interactive, creative play, clinicians are seeing increased engagement, stronger peer connections, and meaningful growth in student confidence and resilience.
