Breakthrough T1D (breakthrought1d.org) (formerly JDRF), a leading global type 1 diabetes (T1D) research and advocacy organization, is inviting local businesses and community groups to schedule a “Lunch and Learn” to raise awareness about T1D and its impact on individuals and families.

Attendees will learn key information, including what type 1 diabetes is, how it differs from type 2, current research toward cures, and ways individuals and organizations can make a meaningful difference in their communities. Breakthrough T1D’s sessions are designed to be engaging, informative and actionable, providing participants with tools to help improve lives today while supporting breakthroughs for tomorrow.

“Knowledge is delicious!” said Chris Dunn, senior chapter director. “Our Lunch and Learn sessions offer a unique opportunity for companies to educate their teams, get involved in the community and help advance our mission of accelerating life-changing breakthroughs for those living with T1D.”

Breakthrough T1D works to improve everyday life for people with type 1 diabetes while driving toward cures. The organization provides resources, advocacy and opportunities for community engagement to improve lives today and in the future.
