Blue Flamingo, a nonprofit thrift store and program of United Methodist Ministries, celebrated the grand opening of its new Midtown Omaha location on 1909 Leavenworth St. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on July 13th. The store, a project of the Greater Omaha Chamber’s community development, has recently moved to the Midtown area from its previous South 10th St. location.

Blue Flamingo is Omaha’s largest supplier of Fair Trade items which will be on display alongside its thrift and vintage goods. Store profits are used to support community gardens and neighborhood outreach programs.
