Big Brothers Big Sisters to Host Annual Fundraiser, “Bowl for Kids’ Sake”
Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Midlands (bbbsomaha.org) will host its largest annual fundraising event, “Bowl for Kids’ Sake,” date TBD. Members of the community will come together to support Big Brothers Big Sisters by raising funds online and then celebrating their fundraising success with 90 minutes of cosmic bowing, pizza, beer/pop and tons of prizes. This year’s fundraising theme is outer space, which means this event will be “out of this world!” This is the most fun you’ll ever have in rented shoes. Initially scheduled for late April through early May, the event is currently postponed for later this year—more information to come regarding specific dates and times.
For 60 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters has strived for all youth in the program to reach their full potential. A Big Brother, Big Sister, or Big Couple provides youth with a sense of safety and security, emotional support, and social skill promotion. Bigs and Littles are matched based on common interests so they can have the benefit of doing activities together that they both enjoy. With a Big by their side, more Littles are discovering who they are and what they can achieve in life. Big Brothers Big Sisters is working to clear the path for our youth’s biggest possible futures.
