Big Brothers Big Sisters Teams Up with eCreamery for National Mentoring Month

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Midlands reminds us that January is National Mentoring Month. As a part of the national campaign to promote youth mentoring, eCreamery will have a special flavor of ice cream for Big Brothers Big Sisters called “Big Swirl Little Crunch” all month long. For every pint sold, eCreamery will donate $1 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Midlands.

In addition, there will be a Scoops of Support event on Thursday, January 24, during which Bigs and Littles will be at eCreamery enjoying time together by eating ice cream and taking pictures in celebration of National Mentoring Month.

The community is encouraged to head over to eCreamery (5001 Underwood Ave.) anytime this month to enjoy the ice cream and support Big Brothers Big Sisters! The organization is also always looking for volunteers. They currently have over 100 kids on their waitlist. When you become a Big Brother, Big Sister, or Big Couple, you ignite the potential within a child in the community. As a Big, you are clearing the path for our youth’s biggest possible future.

For nearly 60 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Midlands has provided children facing adversity in the Omaha community with strong and enduring professionally supported one-to-one relationships. Named 2016 Agency of the Year, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Midlands is a donor supported volunteer organization that has 36 employees and serves more than 1,100 children each year.
