Over 200 guests cheered the University of Kentucky and the University of Kansas to victory in the Final Four at the second annual Big Basketball Bash. Not only did guests enjoy both college semi-final basketball games, but they also helped raise over $8,000 to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Midlands. The Big Brothers Big Sisters’ Friends of Mentoring Service League hosted the interactive viewing party fundraiser at Champions Run on Saturday, March 31st.
In its fourth year, the Friends of Mentoring Service League is a group of community members and business professionals who share a common desire to help children served by Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Midlands. Members volunteer at monthly events with the kids; recruit others to become Big Brothers, Big Sisters and Big Couples or members of the Service League; and assist Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Midlands in fundraising events such as Bowl for Kids’ Sake and the Big Basketball Bash.
