Community members are invited to donate supplies to Educare of Omaha, Inc. (educareomaha.org) during the Back to School Donation Drive in August. Collection opportunities will be available all month long.

“We need school supplies, but our wish list looks a little different from what you might think because our students are infants, toddlers and preschoolers,” Executive Director Rafel O. Hart said.

High-need items include:

  • Baby wipes (sensitive, fragrance-free)
  • Size six and seven diapers
  • Construction Paper
  • Play-Doh
  • Batteries

To participate in the drive, community members can drop off items at Early Learning Center at Kennedy (3200 N 30th St.). A virtual drive with a wide list of needs–allowing people to shop from home and ship directly to Educare of Omaha, Inc.–is available at a.co/g7w10lW.

“At Educare, our students, parents and teachers are interacting year-round,” Hart said. “With help from the community, we can make sure our children are prepared each day to play and learn.”

Educare of Omaha, Inc. serves over 650 infants, toddlers and preschoolers and their families each year by providing high-quality, year-round early education at five early learning schools located in North and South Omaha, also operating a home visiting program. Learn more at educareomaha.org.
