Eppley Airfield (flyoma.com) strives to make air travel accessible for all. To understand the full extent to which Eppley Airfield accommodates its passengers, visit flyoma.com to see a comprehensive list of accessibility services at the airport and helpful hints.

For individuals with cognitive or developmental disabilities such as autism, traveling can cause unneeded anxiety, stress and discomfort. For this reason, Autism Action Partnership (AAP) (autismaction.org) developed a social narrative to help guide travelers through the most common processes at the airport that some may rightfully find challenging. The social narrative includes every step of the process, from what to pack before the trip to post-landing transportation. By providing this information in advance, the travelers will be better prepared to successfully navigate the requirements for air travel.

Autism Action Partnership is an Omaha, Nebraska-based nonprofit working to create and fund programs that fill critical gaps in the state’s autism services. This effort is an example of AAP’s COMPASS program, which provides training and consultation services to the public. The goal of COMPASS is to help others create more inclusive policies, procedures and environments and become more welcoming to the autistic and/or neurodivergent populations. To learn more about COMPASS or seek their services, please visit autismaction.org/compass.
