Now in its fifth year, Our Turn returns with a one-of-a-kind, sensory-friendly performance designed to welcome audiences of all ages and abilities. Presented by the Omaha Symphony in partnership with Autism Action Partnership (autismaction.org), the concert creates an inclusive and supportive space where everyone can experience the joy of live orchestral music.
Held at the Omaha Conservatory of Music, located at 7023 Cass St., on Saturday, Oct. 5, the event features a relaxed 45-minute performance from 3:00 to 3:45 p.m., preceded by an Instrument Petting Zoo from 2:30 to 2:55 p.m. Flexible seating, adjusted lighting and sound levels, and a judgment-free environment allow attendees to move, vocalize, or take breaks as needed, making it ideal for families and first-time concertgoers.
The Omaha Symphony will introduce the vibrant sounds of the orchestra, from shimmering strings to powerful percussion, in a program carefully curated to engage without overwhelming.
Registration is required and can be found here: secure.givelively.org/event/autism-action-partnership/our-turn-with-the-omaha-symphony-oct-5th-2025. There is a $2 registration fee with limited capacity.
