Assistance League of Omaha Prepares for 44th Christmas Caravan

Beautifully decorated homes, lunch out with friends, a chance to buy holiday gifts…all are possible by attending Assistance League® of Omaha’s (www.alomaha.org) Christmas Caravan on Thursday, November 7. All net proceeds will fund Assistance League’s seven philanthropic programs for local children and adults, including Operation School Bell®, Assault Survivor Kits®, Operation Teen Parent, ACT/PSAT Review Sessions, Operation Bear Hug, Operation Recovery, and Operation Literacy. Operation School Bell is the biggest program in which over 4,000 Omaha area school children are given the opportunity to shop for new school clothes.

A bake sale, the Thrift Shop Boutique, and a lunch ($14 cost) are available at Champions Run. Decorated homes are in Papillion, Millard, and in Northwest Omaha. This year’s designers include Papillion Flower Patch, The Humble Hive Mercantile, Country Gardens, Studio DIY, and This & That & Other Stuff.

Tickets are available from Assistance League members, the Assistance League website, HyVee Stores, and the designers for $16 pre-event and $20 the day of the event.

Assistance League® of Omaha receives no federal, state, or city funding. Programs are funded by grants and donations, the annual Christmas Caravan Tour of Homes, and the Thrift Shop located at 36th and Leavenworth.
