Assistance League of Omaha® Goes Into Next Fiscal Year with New Board, Same Programs

Assistance League of Omaha® (ALO, www.alomaha.org) is excited to be beginning its new fiscal year with a new Board of Directors and the continuation of their great community programs. The new 2021-2022 Board consists of Betsy McDaniel, president; Carolyn McCormick, president-elect; Linda Perkins, first vice president philanthropic programs; Terri Gangestad, second vice president resource development; Nancy R. Johnson Third, vice president membership; Carrie Clur, fourth vice president marketing; Linda Primm, fifth vice president support services; Paula Peal, sixth vice president education; Lynn Perry, seventh vice president strategic planning; Kathy David, eighth vice president information technology; Susan Fleetwood, Treasurer; Barb Wilson, assistant treasurer; Jeannene Mason, secretary; and Robbie Mang, parliamentarian.

Coming up in October will be ALO’s Operation School Bell which, in partnership with JCPenneys, provides clothing and shoes to thousands of Omaha area school children in need. In November, the nonprofit is thrilled to once again present the Christmas Caravan Tour of Homes that was cancelled last year due to COVID. In addition, ALO’s wonderful new thrift shop at 8502 Center St. has now opened to a full schedule. The shop is now opened on Wednesday—Friday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., and on Saturday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Donations can also be dropped off on Monday, 9 a.m. – noon.

Assistance League of Omaha is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit service organization whose members identify, develop, implement, and fund ongoing philanthropic programs to serve specific needs of local children and adults in the Greater Omaha area. To learn more, visit www.alomaha.org.
