Angels Among Us (myangelsamongus.org) was honored to be chosen as the Dine Out Partner for Runza’s Lincoln Co-op locations on March 26 raising just shy of $10,000! 10% of sales were donated that day from 25 locations in the following communities: Lincoln, Beatrice, Crete, David City, Fairbury, Geneva, Milford, Seward, Syracuse, Waverly  and York.

The co-op of Runza owners voted to support Angels Among Us’ mission and engaged their staff and networks to promote the day and make it a success. All Runza staff wore stickers, put fliers in every bag, placed yard signs at their locations and helped to spread awareness leading up to the day. Angels Among Us had volunteers are various locations greeting folks and thanking them for their support. In addition to many people participating by dining or going through the drive-through, corporate partners stepped in to support. Angels Among Us’ partners such as Pinnacle Bank, Lutz, Don’t Panic Labs, Talent Plus and others made catering orders for their staff lunch that day to help support and have the opportunity to tell their staff about Angels Among Us.

“This partnership is so special to us as it is incredible awareness for Angels Among Us’ mission in a part of the state that we traditionally haven’t had the capacity to engage with. We serve pediatric cancer families in all of these communities, so it was a partnership that made sense. The impact is incredible!” says Aly Goedeken, Director of Development.

Angels Among Us is a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to provide financial and emotional support to any family whose child is battling pediatric cancer living in or being treated in the state of Nebraska. Since 2006, nearly 700 families have been supported with nearly $5 million in financial support.
