Angels Among Us Creates COVID-19 Response Fund for Its Cancer Families
Angels Among Us (AAU) (myangelsamongus.org) has created its own COVID-19 response fund for its cancer families to help fill the funding gap they are currently experiencing. Currently, 92 cancer families are being financially supported by Angels Among Us in the form of payments to mortgage and rent, utilities, auto payments, medical bills, and other critical needs. These 92 families are relying on AAU’s support more than ever.
In most cases, it is likely that a parent of a child with cancer either loses a job or is forced to quit their job due to their child’s diagnosis. In this current situation, many families are experiencing additional income loss and additional job losses.
Imagine having a child battling cancer with a compromised immune system during these uncertain times. Imagine not only losing one job in your household, but being furloughed or laid off a second household income due to COVID-19.
Angels Among Us has commitments to keep to its families and needs your help to do so. Please consider giving to the COVID-19 response fund at https://bit.ly/2VbeIaa or send a check paid to Angels Among Us at 3858 Jones St., STE A, Omaha, NE 68105. Every dollar matters and every dollar helps to keep local cancer families focused on what matters most—their sick child.
