Angels Among Us Celebrates 15 Years, Schedules 2 Key Fundraisers for 2021
Angels Among Us is celebrating 15 years of service to pediatric cancer families in Nebraska. Upon launching their mission to provide financial and emotional support to pediatric cancer families in 2006, Angels Among Us supported five families in their first year. Fast forward to 2021, and they have touched the lives of more than 500 families with a total of more than $2.8 million in support. The funding they provide goes directly to the families’ creditors to pay rent, mortgage, utilities, auto payments, medical bills, and the like.
To celebrate this important milestone, Angels Among Us has scheduled their two key fundraising events for 2021, as they play a crucial role in meeting the need of the pediatric cancer community in Nebraska. Mark your calendars for Monday, July 12 for a golf outing at Champions Run Golf Course and for Friday, October 15 for the 15th Anniversary Gala event at Embassy Suites Conference Center in La Vista.
Nebraska ranks No. 1 among the 12 Midwestern states for incidences of childhood cancer, constantly increasing the need for financial backing for Angels Among Us. Any family whose child is battling cancer and living in or being treated in the state of Nebraska is eligible for support.
