Angels Among Us 2018 Gala Raises Record Amount

The Angels Among Us 2018 Gala (myangelsamongus.org), which was held on Friday, September 21 at A View On State, raised a record amount in support of local families whose children are battling pediatric cancer. A challenge by the David Spence Cancer Foundation propelled the annual raise the paddle to nearly $90,000. The event in total raised over $200,000 in support.

The event, titled “No Place Like Home,” included cocktails, food, and a silent and live auction. Honorary Chairs were Craig and Jane Pohlman, who were co-event sponsors as well. The David Spence Cancer Foundation was also an event sponsor.

Angels Among Us was founded and became an official 501c3 non-profit in 2006. Founded by two friends, their mission was to give back after their own experience with childhood cancer. Angels Among Us provides financial and emotional support to families living in or being treated in Nebraska for pediatric cancer. In 2018 alone, Angels Among Us will support over 60 families with the guidance they need to remain financially stable due to a pediatric cancer diagnosis.
