Angel Guardians Inc. (angelguardians.org) is dedicated to creating an environment where individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities can thrive. Through its comprehensive services, the organization fosters personal growth, enhances life skills, promotes self-sufficiency, and builds self-esteem, empowering individuals to reach their fullest potential.

Angel Guardians received its 501 (c) 3 designation in 2004 and has since made it a goal to support, engage and promote innovative activities to people of all abilities.

In 2005 The Club at AGI (previously known as VSP Club) was opened to promote recreation, social and educational activities in a safe and secure environment and has hosted over 1,100 events since its opening.

A few years later, Angel Guardians Inc. introduced the Hand Me Ups Thrift Store to help support its mission. The profits from these stores continue to help underwrite its programs. Our Hand Me Ups location is within the same building as AGI, at 15663 Spaulding St, Omaha.

Our TeamWorks program has given high school students with disabilities the opportunity to gain job experience as well as our Supportive Employment program for those who have graduated and want to find their career. We believe that individuals who experience intellectual/developmental disabilities are valuable assets to the community. Each individual deserves a wide selection of options that allow them to use their talents in a fun and supportive atmosphere.

An example of Angel Guardians mission is its Affinity Groups, which is a new program at AGI. These small group activities provide an opportunity for people to come together and socialize, have fun and build connections!
