American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Event Returns to Omaha
After nearly two years away from in person events, the American Heart Association (www.heart.org/Lincoln), the world’s leading nonprofit organization focused on heart and brain health for all, announced the 2021 Omaha Go Red for Women® will return to our community. This signature event will be held on Monday, October 25 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Embassy Suites Omaha – La Vista Hotel and Conference Center.
Go Red for Women is a comprehensive platform designed to increase women’s heart health awareness and serve as a catalyst for change to improve the lives of women globally. While nearly 80% of cardiac events can be prevented, cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in women, claiming the lives of one in three women. Since 2004, Go Red for Women has had a profound impact on women’s health. Through the Go Red for Women movement, the American Heart Association remains steadfast and committed to meeting the comprehensive health needs of women at every life stage.
Go Red for Women is nationally sponsored by CVS Health and the Omaha event is locally sponsored by Methodist Health System and KIEWIT. For more information and to register to attend Go Red for Women, visit heart.org/OmahaGoRed.
