The Empowerment Network’s (empoweromaha.com) 20th Anniversary African American Leadership Conference is underway at CHI Health Center Omaha, bringing local and national leaders together around the theme “This Is Our Season.”

While Friday’s participation during this three-day conference generally attracts corporate professionals, emerging leaders, entrepreneurs, business owners and other industry professionals, organizers are encouraging these groups, along with others, to participate in the Thursday sessions as well.

Thursday’s sessions place a significant emphasis on entrepreneurship, business growth, wealth building and connections between local business leaders and national experts. Attendees will hear from visionary and results-driven entrepreneurs, participate in interactive breakout sessions and engage in thought-provoking discussions focused on building sustainable businesses and creating long-term economic opportunities.

National speakers participating in this year’s conference include James Bailey, president and CEO of the Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurship; Dr. George Fraser, CEO of FraserNet Inc.; Dr. Pamela Jolly, CEO of Torch Enterprises; Dr. Randal Pinkett, managing partner of BCT Partners and Jaylen Bledsoe, chief executive business officer of The Potter’s House.

The conference continues Friday, Oct. 2, with programming focused on career advancement, leadership development, health, entrepreneurship, civic engagement and wealth building.

As the Empowerment Network marks 20 years of collaboration, this year’s conference allows attendees to connect with business and community leaders and gain information applicable to their
businesses, careers and community.

Registration remains open. Conference information is available at AALCOmaha.com.
