Americans for Prosperity Nebraska, the state’s foremost grassroots advocate for healthcare freedom, released the following reaction to the ruling in King v. Burwell.
AFP Nebraska State Director Matt Litt said, “The Court’s decision gives no answers to those who have fallen victim to ObamaCare’s overregulation. Families have been dealing with these burdensome taxes and mandates for much too long. ObamaCare is more unpopular now, years after taking effect, because Nebraskans are seeing its repercussions. It continues to increase insurance premiums and limits access to care while creating more bureaucracy that it was supposed to fix. Although the Supreme Court upheld these controversial subsidies, that doesn’t mean that families, individuals, or businesses here in Nebraska will see any relief from the harmful effects of this law. AFP Nebraska will continue to advocate for hardworking taxpayers and protect their right to patient-centered care.”
A spokesman for the chapter said they planned to direct the public to voice their discontent with the law by signing the petition at www.americansforprosperity.org/burwell. The national organization also announced plans to launch a significant digital buy with an ad advocating for people’s health over politics, which will reach most major media markets in the United States.
