On September 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a free conference for women of faith called “Arise” will be held on Abide’s (www.abideomaha.org) campus at 45th & Bedford. The event will be held in the gym and include worship, speakers and a drama, along with vendors, ministry booths and food trucks.
Don’t forget to save the date for another Abide event, an annual fundraiser on October 26! More details will be announced as the event date approaches.
To recap Abide’s Back-to-School Block Party that took place August 12, 1,300+ community members and 200+ volunteers were in attendance to give away 1,300 backpacks, 500+ free t-shirts and 260 Love Your Neighbor pantry boxes. Additionally, 400 lbs of pulled pork was served and prizes, snacks and candy were given out! Abide is thankful for every person that served and is excited for school to have officially started!
The mission of Abide is to revitalize the inner city, one neighborhood at a time.
