Christmas is such a beautiful time to celebrate the wonder and excitement that brings everyone back to the innocence of childhood. This year Abide (abideomaha.org) is celebrating 35 years of mission in North Omaha. There have been some awe-inspiring God moments, and sadly, there have been some tragedies as well. This year marks 31 years since their little neighbor girls lost their lives to violence. It’s in their honor that they’ve established the Lights of Hope year-end sponsorship. Abide’s dream is to see every child safe, loved and cared for, reaching their full God-given potential.

Abide is providing 3,000 brand new gifts to 1,000 kids in North Omaha at their Annual Christmas Store on Saturday, December 14! Community members will be able to come on campus and pick out gifts for their children ages 0-10. You can help by purchasing and donating a toy through their amazon wish list (amazon.com/registries/gl/guest-view/OT2LNQMWKNVP), contributing financially, volunteer during the week leading up to the event (December 9-13) to help set up and organize toys, or serve during the event and help them bring smiles to everyone’s faces!
