Reservations may now be made for the 2014 Big Red Tailgate. Attendees will support Completely KIDS, an Omaha nonprofit dedicated to serving at-risk youth and their families, while celebrating Husker pride.
This casual event will be held Sept. 12 at Embassy Suites La Vista, 12520 Westport Pkwy. The evening will feature a raffle, silent auction and cocktails, beginning at 6 p.m., with dinner and oral auction to follow at 7:30 p.m.
Last year, the Guild-sponsored Big Red Tailgate raised $230,000 for Completely KIDS. Completely KIDS ensures that its families have access to the knowledge and skills necessary to break the cycle of poverty. It’s the agency’s mission to educate and empower kids and families to create a safe, healthy, successful and connected community. Amy and John Deardorff are serving as honorary chairmen. Andi Hallgren, Beth Raper and Carrie Weiler are this year’s general co-chairs.
