18th Diaper Drive Collects 1.1M Diapers to Benefit Families at Open Door Mission

The 18th Annual Channel 94.1 Diaper Drive to benefit families at Open Door Mission’s (opendoormission.org) Lydia House netted more than 1.1 million diapers! The Diaper Drive was on December 11-12, with donations coming from individuals, families, and groups that stopped by to give. At a Diaper unloading party on December 29, volunteers bundled up and practiced social distancing while they helped unload the diapers from the Werner trucks and sorted them by size before enjoying chili, chicken noodle soup, and hot chocolate for their efforts. All of the donations will be given to parents experiencing homelessness at Lydia House and distributed in the Mission’s Outreach Centers.
