New Downtown All-Day Brunch Spot, Lula B’s Opened in Time for Swim Trials and CWS

Lula B’s (www.lulabsomaha.com), a new all-day brunch spot, opened in Omaha’s The Capitol District just in time for the thousands of guests who visited downtown Omaha during the U.S. Olympic Swim Trials and the College World Series (CWS). Lula B’s is an upbeat, fun spot focused on brunch but offering delicious, creative food and fun events from early morning to late evening. A grand opening ceremony was held on June 1 to officially welcome the new restaurant to The Capitol District with live music, menu samples, and a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Greater Omaha Chamber and other city officials.

The restaurant’s head chef, Joe Becerra, hails from Mexico City and brings a flavorful twist to longtime menu favorites. Add in local craft beers, cocktails on tap, and a partnership with Stories Coffee and this locally owned restaurant is bound to be a favorite of both Omahans and out-of-town guests.

“Lula B’s is different from anything else offered downtown,” said General Manager Alex Dunn. “With a warm and welcoming patio, delicious all-day menu, and a full bar of creative cocktails, we expect a lot of customers will end up spending all day with us and making Lula B’s their go-to spot downtown.”

Lula B’s also offers a large party room that can host up to 75 people and free parking in the adjacent parking lot. The restaurant’s location, at 10th and Dodge Streets, is ideal—Lula B’s and The Capitol District sit at the crossroads between the Old Market, the events district, the Riverfront, and the downtown business district.
